Born and brought up in india,Yogurt is part of our everyday meal.Their will be a small cup of yogurt rice in our lunch while going to school.Making yogurt at home is very easy .With instant pot it’s definitely a blessing when the temperature is low.Now,let us see how to make instant pot yogurt at home.This is one the easiest method with no temperature check etc.
Before we go in details ,i will tell the simple process.Add a cup of water,put a trivet inside the stainless pot.Keep a glass bowl or a bowl of your choice which is instant pot friendly.Add the milk.Close the lid and steam for a minute.Once the pressure settles naturally ,open the lid and let the milk cool for 30-35 minutes max .No thermometer needed.Add the culture ,stir it well and close the lid and set ‘yogurt’ mode for 8 hours.
Your homemade yogurt is ready to serve.
If you don’t have the instant pot no problem,just boil the milk in a stove top and let it cool for 30- 35 minutes ,later add the culture.Close it with a lid and place it a corner without any disturbance within a day,your homemade yogurt is ready .
How to make yogurt in Instant pot
- 1 gallon whole milk
- 2-3 tbsp culture
Add a cup of water,put a trivet inside the stainless pot.

- Just beat the culture with a spoon gently and mix it with milk.
- You can use any milk .I use organic valley grass fed milk.So i end up making my own butter,ghee(clarified butter) at home by collecting the cream.
